His personality is more a very forced "I dont care and will deadpan reaction to everything. Stale bread has more personality than I do and thats intentional". The other characters are meant to bounce off him and his non reaction is something like a running gag.

Well that explains the rushed adaptation and man I was looking forward to it! Guess I'll just stick to the manga. Anyway Overlord Season 4 airs tomorrow so there's at least one top notch anime this summer.

I've watched the first season + movie + am caught up with the manga and I thouroughly recommend it. Especially for those who like vibrant fentastical worlds and creatures. But even if you don't, the story itself is full of good drama and some incredibly suspenseful moments

ehh, I watch the first season it was more, like, depressing show. So much pain and suffering in the show. Any fun adventure aspects always led to more pain and sadness.

I know the rest are good but I'm not gonna watch them though I have watched S1 for classroom of elite and hataraku maou sama, dunno about the abyss one. I'm rewatching One Piece and will rewatch Bleach so I don't have time to watch all of them that's why I'm only gonna stick with Overlord S4 and might binge the rest of them later.

Oh damn it's the same author?! I definitely enjoyed it a lot more and thought this would be an okay series but I guess I have to keep my expectations lower than I already did.

For me it's not isekai if they don't show the first days. This anime started when the he already has it all: knowledge, power and teammates. The whole isekai fun got spoiled by this episode for me. Even if they show the day 0 next it won't be the same as learnimg and growing with the character. I will give it another chance in episode 2 but I think I will be dropping it.

I'm sick and tired of training arcs. This different type of start is nice and right into the action. Just what I came to see.

As for this one, I really like this despite being generic Isekai, I had fund reading the manga and so I'm here to watch the anime. I understand all of your displeasure, but that doesn't change the fact that I had fun and lovely journey while waiting every month for a new chapter, and also, there's no harem shit here (that's +1 for me personally) just Yuuji and his adventure with his monsters. That's all, thank you for warding off the uninterested ones in the first chapter.
